I was born in in the heart of the England and from a very young age I have always had a love of history and some of my earliest memories are visiting the castles, manors and palaces in the U.K with my family. This passion led me to study it at university and gaduate with a B.A in History and Archaeology and an M.A in Celtic Archaeology.
After leaving university I got my hands dirty (quite literally) as I travelled over the U.K working on Archaeological sites before switching to working as a Historical Conservator for the National Trust as well as work for English Heritage in some of the U.K’s most important historical sites giving me insight into how history is preserved, conservated and presented. In 2012 I moved to Munich and since then I’ve had the pleasure of guiding visitors from all over the world through its rich history, stunning palaces, and centuries-old traditions.
On my tours I hope to show my guests the best of the city and go beyond the usual basics to a more in-depth look at Munich’s long and fascinating history by presenting it in an academic yet friendly way by using a combination of storytelling, showing artefacts and bringing in the local knowledge I have built up over the years. My work as an archaeologist has also given me a deep appreciation for the physical remnants of history—whether it’s a shard of pottery or an baroque palace—and that passion for uncovering the past is something I bring to every tour I lead.
